We’ve all seen police officers on bicycles, in Ottawa and elsewhere. London has expanded this concept to paramedics, apparently with great success:

Ottawa has had bike paramedics for at least five years, and probably longer. One pair of paramedics gave a presentation at CfSC’s AGM in 2002 or 2003, showing us all the stuff they carry in their panniers.
Ah, I’ve never seen them in Ottawa before. Good to know.
